The fifth edition of DOMa Diaries returned to the Benaki Museum auditorium, highlighting the process, methodology, and creative uncertainty in architecture. Eight Greek firms presented one of their yet-to-be-built projects, offering insight into their design approach.
The event began with the presentation of "The Architect's House" by 3H Architects, which explored the unique design process when the architect is also the user of the space. Next, Rena Sakellaridou presented "Residence in Sifnos," analyzing the coexistence of architectural vision and traditional aesthetics. SOUTH Architecture introduced "Farmhouse No. 3" in Chios, a project examining modern rural habitation, while "Cavea Naxia" by Micromega Architecture & Strategies demonstrated how integration with the natural landscape can create authentic locality.
The event continued with the Acropolis gift shop project by FLUX Office, balancing spatial independence with harmony within the monument’s surroundings. The Whale Architects presented "Hotel Pluriversalis" in Skyros, an ongoing project focusing on a new model of sustainable tourism. Agis Mourelatos showcased "E55 Office Building" in Ambelokipi, a contemporary urban intervention, while the event concluded with "Revitalization of the Aheiropoietos – Agia Sofia Axis" by Bampalou and Noukakis, emphasizing the dynamics of public space.
Bright Special Lighting actively supported the event as a sponsor, contributing to the organization of this significant architectural dialogue and fostering discussions on the future of the built environment.
Location: Benaki Museum, Peireos 138
